Neo's new year resolutions

Of the millions of people who make new year resolutions, 78% of them will fail. With that optimistic figure in mind, here are team Neo’s resolutions for the year ahead:
“My new year mantra is 'it's good to talk' (did BT really say that?). We spend so much of our lives being bookfaced, twistered and tiedIN, we forget that the most stimulating and rewarding experiences are all around us in the form of face-to-face conversation with 'real life' people. I am going to get to know my neighbours, ask shopkeepers how their day was and I'll even attempt to say 'good morning' to my children when they wake me at 5am in the morning.”
Nick, Managing Director
"I have decided to be a generally nicer person by performing random acts of kindness. Open more doors for people, smile more at strangers (without looking like a creep), compliment people and help old ladies across the road. I haven't become the nicer more helpful me yet because I have only just made this new year’s resolution up.”
Becky, Designer
“After years of a 'head in the sand' approach to personal finances to rival that of any big flightless bird, I'm taking it in hand this year and putting head up and right on the chin!"
Nicole, Account Director
“My creative outlook on life means that I don't do new year resolutions – if I don't set myself up to fail, then at the end of the year I haven't broken any promises to myself.”
Josie, Designer (and all round girl about town)
"After a Christmas of eating far too much turkey, ham, chicken and more turkey, I've decided to embrace Meat Free Mondays in 2012. I've already made the world's least edible vegetable casserole, so it's going well so far."
Emmie, Creative Strategist
"This year I am serious. It is the year of art. I am going to draw and paint more, add another weird film to my portfolio maybe. Just generally follow my creative inspiration. I'm off to a good start with a couple of pieces."
Kim, Strategy Director:
"An active Christmas spent snowboarding = GOOD. Endless fondue and vin chaud = BAD. January poses a quandary – is it salad and veg or pies and ale?"
Matt, Creative Director:
"This year I've decided to reclaim my lungs (and become generally virtuous) by stopping smoking and taking up running. So far, I've managed a leisurely post-Christmas waddle across a field, and a mad dash to catch the Number 22 bus from Old Steine. Here's to a very wholesome, streamlined 2012.”
Emma, Copywriter
"Sorry but I am boring and don't 'do' new years resolutions as I smugly like to think I either stop or start doing things as I see fit. If it was life or death though, I would probably say that I should visit more spas and drink more organic champagne..."
Sarah, Senior Designer
