How can a small booklet help an environmental giant?
-
Greenpeace need little introduction. Their environmental campaigns are the stuff of legend. But it’s their behind the scenes lobbying and research that’s also helping safeguard our planet’s future. So when in 2008 European car manufacturers threatened to delay legislation on carbon emission targets until 2015, Greenpeace asked Neo to help find a way of getting MEPs to vote against this delay.

Busy MEPs don't have much time to read lengthy documents. So we created a short booklet in the style of a Haynes car manual outlining exactly how easy it was for vehicle manufacturers to comply with the environmental targets – and why a delay in legislation would be no good for anyone. The booklet was printed and handed out to MEPs and was also available to download.

Later that year, European Parliament voted for cuts of 17 per cent in cars' carbon emissions within four years (2012). Victory for Greenpeace. And a very small booklet.
