International HIV/AIDS Alliance - Worlds AIDS Day #ReadyToDecide

It’s time for young women to take back their decision-making power – whether it’s choosing to have sex or access the sexual & reproductive health services they need. Without discrimination.

We worked with HIV/AIDS Alliance to create a bold and outspoken campaign identity to raise awareness on World AIDS Day and galvanise support among young audiences in Africa and the UK. So we can make pressure governments and policymakers to sit up and listen.

We created a series of sharable social media graphics and Facebook adverts that framed the basic rights that these girls aren’t allowed – the right to choose when to have sex, to choose whether or not to have a relationship, the right to marry who they want to and the right to choose when to have a baby. Photography showed girls in potential vulnerable situations where those rights might be tested, combined with typography reminiscent of neon adult-shop signs to demonstrate the absurdity of the decisions being made for them.
