Lee Suttey

Designer

Lee is a senior design consultant with many strings to his bow. His versatility springs from years of delivering a wide range of projects, from brand development and campaigns to publications and bespoke illustration pieces — across digital, print, and experiential media.

From discovering his love of art and design at secondary school through to completing a masters in sequential design and illustration, achieving a first-class honours degree in illustration in-between, Lee has always been dedicated to learning his craft. And he brings curiosity, care, and a considered approach to every project he works on.

Also a published author, Lee wrote and designed Sketching Type, a book exploring hand-drawn typography and the creative value of stepping away from the screen. The book encourages designers to pick up pencil and pen, deepen their understanding of type, and reconnect with the tactile side of the craft. Sharing knowledge is something Lee is passionate about, and he hopes to teach in the future.

Special power
Visual problem-solving with craft and curiosity. Turning complex ideas into clear, engaging design and making brands feel human rather than corporate.
What makes him happy
Being creative, of course. Away from the screen, Lee likes to stay active and curious. He spends a lot of time mountain-biking along the South Downs, is a regular swimmer, and enjoys playing guitar and going to live gigs.
In his own words
I love making things that feel considered, useful, and human. I enjoy the process as much as the outcome, sketching, refining, and getting the details right.
