Smarter travel the sustainable way…
Leading UK travel charity Sustrans wanted to do more than tell their story. They wanted to immerse people in what they really do, which is work to make smarter travel choices possible, desirable and inevitable.
They wanted their message to travel as far and wide as possible, so we came up with a simplistic but visually engaging design for their 2012 Annual Report.
Sustrans have been working with the travel industry’s big players and policy makers, as well as communities and families at local level, to achieve their goal – that people are able to choose healthier, cleaner and cheaper journeys, with better places and spaces to move through and live in. This review highlights their shift from that of a council run organisation to a modern charity helping empower people to embrace sustainable travel in their daily lives.
The concept of the Annual Report was to be compact enough that it could be read in the space of a bus journey. This, coupled with a bold design approach, vibrant colour, and vector illustrations reflects the simplicity of sustainable travel, and Sustrans solutions. So simple indeed.
