We’re delighted to hear that founder of Adeso, Fatima Jibrell is one of the five nominees for the Guardian International Development Achievement Award, which aims to celebrate one individual for their contribution to the lives of some of the world’s poorest people.
As well as founding the African development organisation Adeso, Fatima has co-founded the Resource Management Somali Network (RMSN), and has been instrumental in empowering women and girls to take the lead in peace and conservation. Fatima has encouraged change and worked from the bottom up, inspiring others and making real, lasting change.
